Description

Minamoto’s Aikido Bokken (Bokuto) is another fine product of Aramaki of Kyushu Japan. It is carved from 100% Shiro Kashi or Quercus mongolica. The Shiro Kashi or Japanese white oak differs from the porous and less dense American white oak Quercus alba, and is less likely to crack or split.

The Aikido White Oak Bokuto is slightly longer than the standard Aikido Bokken (Bokuto), and has a more solid feel. It also has a chevroned spine and blunt straight edge tip to prevent injury. This Bokuto is specifically for the use of Aikido and has a meatier and solid feel of quality.
