The shipping method will be selected automatically depending on the place where the package is shipped to. (We use Postal Service, UPS, Canada Post and Fedex) For North America, your total delivery time would be 1 business day (processing) + 3 to 7 business days (shipping time). In other words, you could expect your package to be delivered within 4 to 8 business days of placing your order. A Faster shipping option is available at extra charge. How To Calculate Your Shipping Cost - For International Orders & All Orders Less Than $199

1. Add the desired items into your shopping cart.
2. Go to “Check Out” page.
3.Click “Estimate Shipping”. From the pull-down list, you will see all the countries we are able to ship to. (Some countries are not listed on our Shipping List. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.)
4. Click “Update” button to get your shipping cost.
If you get “We will search for the best rate”… The best shipping rate will be calculated and inform you by email after you place your order. We will not charge or ship your items until your confirmation.

Where's my itmes?

We will email you the tracking number after your order is shipped out. You can also check it on “My Page” after logging in. If you don't receive your order within a reasonable time, please let us know with your order number and we will activate a search.

Customized Orders and Out-of-Stock Items

If your order contains one or more items that are not in stock or customized items, your order will not be shipped until all items come in. You can notify us to ship what we have and send the back ordered items or customized items when they arrive. Should you neglect to make that choice we will automatically hold the order until all of the items are here and ready to be shipped. You can request immediate shipping for the items that we currently can ship by indicating in the COMMENTS field at check-out (Extra shipping fee may apply. Please email us for more information):

Does choose UPS Express or UPS Express Saver shipping to mean my order will arrive in one or two days?

Not necessarily. Remember it takes 24 business hours to process your order. If you select UPS Saver Shipping, the items will ship after the 24 business hours and arrive on the following business day--two business days total. Similarly, in the case of UPS Second-Day Air, shipping time will be a total of three business days. Please ask us for estimated shipping time by email or phone. We are happy to reply as soon as possible. You may also track your package with the tracking number which you will receive after your order is shipped out. Please keep in mind that there is no weekend delivery for UPS Next-Day or UPS Second-Day Shipping. In the case of items that take two-three weeks delivery (stated in the description), the express shipping options will be applied when we receive the items in stock.

Sales Tax, Duty, Brokerage Fees, and VAT

CANADA…We are required to collect the GST sales tax for orders delivered within the Country of Canada and GST and PST for purchases made within the province of B.C.. The appropriate state and local taxes will be automatically added to your order.
USA and Other countries…Tax will not be charged for orders for USA and international orders, however, when importing goods into your country, there is a good chance that Brokerage VAT, Duty will be applied to your goods when imported into your country. Please note that the receiver is responsible for 100% of those charges. Minamoto Shokai has no control over those charges. In terms of the rates of customs duty and VAT, please consult with the authority of your country.

Our Return Policy

With a receipt of your shipment, any items following below, and within 30 days of purchase (except outlet sale items) will receive a refund or will receive an exchange . Please note that shipping fee is non-refundable. In case the return is a result of our error, full amount will be refunded include shipping fee.

  • Any clothing item in its original condition unused and unwashed (For Hakama, pleat retaining stitches must be intact).
  • Any item in new condition with original packaging and accessories
  • We will not accept any returns for garments that have been embroidered, imprinted or customized in any manner.
  • Please note that we can process returns and refunds only for items purchased from the Minamotoshokai web-site.
  • We will not accept items returned after 30 days.
  • When you ship back to us, please indicate on the shipping label that "Returned Item" to the original in Canada.

Damaged Items:

Before sending your item back, please email us with the pictures of a damaged part. After inspection, we will send you a return shipping label by email. Please send the item back with original packaging and the packing slip. The new item will be re-shipped after the damaged item is returned.

Packing and Sending your Return

You can pack and send your return to us in just a few simple steps.

1. Contact us to explain why the item is being returned
2. Make sure the item is in its original condition, unused, unwashed, no pet fur and no lint.
3. Fold neatly and put the item back into the plastic bag, then pack the items securely in a box. You can use the box/bag the items arrived in or another, if you prefer.
4. Send to a Address that we give you via email.
